Nashville, Tenn. – Saint Thomas Health Services (STHS) Outpatient Rehabilitation is pleased to announce the addition of Occupational Therapist and Certified Hand Therapist, Gary Robinson to the staff. With this new addition, Outpatient Rehabilitation is able to offer specialized, advance therapies for the hand and upper extremity not commonly offered in the Middle Tennessee area.
“Through our Baptist Sports Medicine and Life Therapies clinics, we strive to meet all of the rehabilitation and therapy needs of our community. We recently recognized a need for specialized care in hand therapy and were fortunate to recruit Gary to our team to help meet this need,” said Trent Nessler, Managing Director of STHS Outpatient Rehabilitation. “His extensive work experience and specialized training will be a great asset to our talented group of physicians, therapists and athletic trainers and we’re excited to welcome him aboard.”
Robinson’s duties will include creating specialized therapy programs for one-on-one treatment of patients who suffer from sports and work-related upper extremity injuries, fractures and lacerations. Robinson will provide therapy at the Rivergate and Spring Hill clinics.
“It is a great honor to join this team of experts, and I am proud to use my skill set to better meet the needs of the Middle Tennessee community who suffer from injuries that interrupt day-to-day activities,” said Robinson.
Robinson comes to STHS Outpatient Rehabilitation with 11 years of working in outpatient treatment – with a concentration on therapy of the upper extremities. In addition, he has a background in orthopedic and plastic surgery along with four years of experience in a level-one trauma facility.
A Texas native, Robinson moved to middle Tennessee in 2007 as the Senior Group Director for Physiotherapy Associates and most recently worked as the Director of Hand Therapy Services for Results Physiotherapy.
Robinson graduated Magnum Cum Laude from the University of Texas with a Bachelors of Science in Occupational Therapy and a Master of Business Administration with a focus on Healthcare Management.
